Update v1.6.58: One Captain. Three Ships.

You don’t have to sail alone anymore.

A broadside is better with company, so everyone gets a Halloween gift!

Fleet has arrived in Pirate Twist. Collect blueprints, build companion ships at Port, and sail with up to two allies beside your flagship. Choose who comes with you, set their formation, and give the order when the fighting starts. One captain. Three ships. More ships to bring home.

Build at Port. Command at sea.

Six companion designs are waiting to be discovered: Gullwing, Oakbound, Red Wake, Brass Jack, Iron Vow, and Black Lantern. Each has its own stats and fixed equipment.

Commission ships and assign them to your companion berths at Port. Choose their formation and fighting stance, upgrade their hull and reload speed, and repair the fleet between expeditions.

At sea, use Engage, Defend the Ship, Defend the Harbour, or Regroup to direct your companions as the fight changes.

Where do blueprints come from?

  • Boss victories: choose one ship-specific blueprint fragment from the reward offer.
  • Trading Posts: buy offered fragments through Fleet Blueprints.
  • Elite plunder and boarding: a chance to recover a fragment. Simply sinking an elite does not award one.

Complete a design’s fragment collection to learn it permanently across campaigns and captains. Ships you commission belong to the current campaign. Extra fragments or copies of a learned design become Repair Blueprints for rebuilding that companion if it sinks.

Your first companion berth unlocks after campaign wins with two different captains and one completed blueprint. You can collect fragments before then. The second requires three learned designs and a campaign win in which you commissioned a companion.

For the full guide, open Codex → Fleet: all six ships have portraits and details, with explanations of blueprint sources, berths, building, assignment, repairs and upgrades. Codex also has larger text and a bigger reading area.

A livelier harbour. A ship you can hear.

Port’s water moves, fog drifts, chimneys smoke, and the lighthouse sweeps across the harbour. Available upgrades and fleet actions are easier to spot.

New sound effects cover crew actions, storms, dead-calm seas, salvage, treasure and caves. Falling rocks splash into cave water, and your hull creaks as you turn to port or starboard. Lucky Treasure also has a new reveal with clearer reward cards.

This update also brings boss-victory protection, automatic collection of remaining battle loot, and Cursed Wreck searches with up to three chances to replace your curse result.

Endless is next.

Fleet had to come first, and there is a good reason for that. Endless is my next big feature—and it is closer than you think. More on that soon.

A heads-up: the US price is going up to $6.70.

The increase is coming early next week. I wanted to tell you before it takes effect. The reason is my ongoing work to replace the game’s AI-generated assets:

  • AI sound-effect replacement: complete.
  • AI music replacement: in progress.
  • AI art replacement: in progress.

Thank you for helping Pirate Twist get here through your playtests, feedback and recordings.

Who gets a berth beside your flagship?
